Since the Forum is going away in June, has anyone started to make a copy of all the stuff in the Tutorials forum?I've made copies of some of the tutorial material on the main site, but haven't looked at the Tutorial Forum yet.I'm going to continue copying as much as I can for my own personal use anyway, but if anyone else is doing it, or has already started doing it, please let me know.Maybe we can co-ordinate our efforts. ps can't ..... believe John, would let this happen without so much as a…

But I just couldn't resist as I try to make sense of what's happening. Losing my connection to SA, Synthetik and John has been a great sadness... and if real, ends a monumental era in my creative life. love,~Victor

Read more…Hi, here is the video I made back in 2010 for my song "Teenage Tongue Cult". I finally found my master folder of image sequence files for it on one of my old hard drives, and since the version I had on my Vimeo was of pretty terrible pixelated low quality visually, I re-did it yesterday. It has extensive use of Studio Artist through the whole thing. I made it by first animating the characters and scenes in Flash, against a mostly kind of muddy green background, a color I knew wasn't being used…

When I work with time particles when painting a movie I can´t make them draw all the frames. throught the frames time particles only draw the first frame.
How to make them draw based on each frame of the video?
Here's a simple example animation that shows time particles configured to bounce, using single brush nibs for the paint strokes to get across the bounce movement of the time particles.
Turning on time particles gives the paint strokes continuity from frame to frame in an animation. For the first frame in the animation, the path start locations for each paint stroke drawn are recorded as time particles. The 2 time particle control panels in the paint synthesizer control movement of the recorded part start locations for the time particles over time. You can draw single brush nibs at each time particle position, or you can draw out new paths that start at the time particle positions.
You can determine if the paint strokes are redrawn for each new frame, use the original path generated at frame 1, or calculate a new path and then try to generate something that tween mixes in the last path shape along with the newly generated one. Those are the various shape track options.
I don't understand your question about how to make time particles draw based on each frame of the video, because they do. Assuming you have your paint preset set up to draw paint strokes, time particles will draw paint strokes for each frame of the video you are processing. The movement of the path start locations of the paint strokes corresponds to the movement of the time particles. Depending on how the paint preset is edited, you can draw a single brush nib at each time particle location, or a longer paint stroke can draw out from the time particle start point.
If you want to post a paint preset you are working on i'd be happy to take a look at it
I'd like to improve the behavior of that particular option at some point in the future.
