I'm using 'Big and Small dots' brush under 'Assisted or Auto' setting. But as you can see it doesn't paint on bright areas. Is there a luma setting that prevents it from painting bright areas?
I went to the editor setting to try to find the setting but couldn't. Need your help.
Thank you in advance,

There are a few adjustable paint synthesizer parameters turned on in this preset that try to intelligently restrict painting:
In the Path Start control panel, the Texture Range is turned On, and set to Texture Min = 1, Texture Max = 255. This will restrict canvas painting in any flat area of the source image. Set Texture Range to Off if you don't want this painting restriction.
In the Path End control panel in the paint synthesizer Editor, the Visual Error parameter is set to PaintColor LumErr. That setting tries to intelligently restrict overpainting on an area if it thinks adding more paint will move the rendered canvas further away from representing the source image. SO you can set that to None if you don't want it to restrict painting.
In the Path Application control panel, the Probability is set to Local Color Range. This again restricts painting if it thinks the current paint color is too different from the source image coloring at the specific part of the canvas you are currently painting. If you don't want this restricted painting, you can set Probability to None.
Great it works now!
