I have recently started experimenting with exporting images as svg and eps using Pas and the vectorizer. While my results are hit or miss I am finding that I can get fascinating and unique results.
My first accidental discovery was that if I had not chosen a PAS first the export would be black. Since my first result led to the balloon type image I realized I must have unknowingly selected a Pas before I exported the file (see attached). I am trying to replicate that but do not know which one was selected. Does anyone know the PAS hat creates that appearance?
Also: Are there any tutorials about this process so I can feel that my results are not hit or miss?
There are incredible potentials using the vectorizer. I have been opening files in illustrator and choosing vector segments and adjusting colors. Its tedious but the results are exciting.
Also when I try to reopen a file I have worked on in illustrator and saved as an svg, it will not open in SA. Why?
Thanks,
Paul

Here are some tips on svg output.
If you setup your paseq so that it erases the canvas to black as it's first action step, then you should have a black background in the svg output. Or in the vectorizer, you can set what the background is set to in the Drawing control panel.
Illustrator usually outputs eps output. If you exported svg and want me to take a look at it, feel free to email it to me. SA should be able to open any legitimate svg files, but they are rendered to an image when you open them.
Safari opens svg files, so that's a good second place to check output. Studio Artist is able to create svg files with enough complexity to make illustrator freeze up, but they open fine in safari or in studio artist.
Thanks John
I have always admired you, Bernard, Victor, Liveart among others who possess the technical expertise to go beyond the limits of unknowing.
Unfortunately I did not understand. I function well with show examples and tell but fail with great success when it comes to just words alone. I must have a brain disconnect that has existed since childhood. My life is intuitively driven.
Since I am almost totally illiterate regarding the structural elements of SA, I even pulled out a 600 page printout from the manual I had made of the MSG evolver a long time ago.
I also did a search and found a link on PASeq that looks helpful. It may be helpful for others as well.

I will get back to you when I can ask a few more intelligent questions based on greater understanding of the program.
I will also send you the file that won't open later.
