Hello all.
After several days trying to figure out how to create movie brushes with good quality and how to use them, I am initially satisfied with these 2 results.
I hope you don't mind about the subject, I was more interested in find how it works than start with a great idea.
First is Marley and second Pepe Mujica.
If I can give you a tip here, I can say: don't create movie brushes inside SA. Best you can do is to create them directly in photoshop, using timeline and activating the alpha channel.
Another important thing I discovered is to not resize the brushes inside SA. Best thing is to generate several movies with different sizes and use them as 100% size inside SA.
You can see the difference between the 2 files:
Marley I resized the brush inside the SA. I get serrated edges when the brush is downsized
Mujica I did not resized inside SA. Clean edges.

I'm not sure if I am breaking the forum rules with this artwork subject.

Thanks a lot,
Some things to be aware of. There are several different interpolation options associated with brush size modulation in the Brush Modulation control panel (Size Interpolation parameter). If you have it set to Point Sample, it will be less than optimal. The Interpolation setting is typically the one you should use for this, for smoother resizing.
The other thing to be aware of is how your paint tool is setup in the Paint Fill Setup control panel. If you are using the From setting for the Fill Option for example, then you aren't going to get any blend at anti-aliased edges if you are working with alpha masked brush images.
Also, you want to make sure you are using the Alpha Source Brush option for Brush Type in the Brush Type control panel if you want the brush's alpha channel to be determining the blend for a paint tool using the Blend setting for Fill Option. Otherwise, with a normal Source Brush setting for Brush Type, the luminance of the rgb brush image would be determining the blend.
I'm not sure what specific preset settings you were using for your experiments, but my guess is that the 'serrated edges' you saw were associated with one or more of the things i mentioned above, or something similar associated with the specifics of the paint synthesizer programming for the preset you were working with.
