  • I would like to know this too!

    • Working on it, first step...

2472682065?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024now have to generate the dots, halftone ?

      They are making the picture...

      • start to look good! I wonder if this can be generated like a mosaic Bernard. If you look the example, the upper left corner have a big square  subdivided by half and the lower half has the triangles.

is this black square is the "unit" to be repeated in a mosaic preset with different sizes and rotation maybe this can be the answer...

        Is this make any sense??

        • I'm not sure if it's possible to be done like mosaic.

Your example was generated with "processing" soft.

          • did you use MSG for this?

            • 1) Main tech shape, shape scan lum block1, shape complex 1500, shape type Dualtriangle 3

              2) vector fill blend 0%, vector edge blend 100%,

              • Bernard

in your example all your edges are plain white. I follow what you pointed

                1) Main tech shape, shape scan lum block1, shape complex 1500, shape type Dualtriangle 3

                2) vector fill blend 0%, vector edge blend 100%,

and the result is quite simillar, but my edges range from withe to dark grey, light gray and so on. Is this parameter is controlled in the >composite< panel? how can I achieve plain white edges?

                • Yes you're right I tried the preset in V4 and I have also your result.

In V5, John added a white option for the EPS Region outline. It forces all the edges in white, without grayscale. You can't do it actually with the V4 vectorizer, but you can use threshold imop after vectorizing, and then it's OK....setting : there are many tools in SA, and we often forget them :-)

      • I think that the "dots" are just smaller and smaller triangles. As along the edges of your example Bernard/

        • I don't know if they are smaller triangles, we don't see them well. Generating dots is not complicated, but they are not at the right place in my example. that is a capture screen with onion skin : (here black dots)

Is anybody making a copy of all the material in the Tutorials Forum

Since the Forum is going away in June, has anyone started to make a copy of all the stuff in the Tutorials forum?I've made copies of some of the tutorial material on the main site, but haven't looked at the Tutorial Forum yet.I'm going to continue copying as much as I can for my own personal use anyway, but if anyone else is doing it, or has already started doing it, please let me know.Maybe we can co-ordinate our efforts. ps can't ..... believe John, would let this happen without so much as a…

Studio Artist is in Italy!

I was crawling the streets of Matera, Italy today and may have discovered where SA is hiding!  (see attached photo). Not meaning to make light of this great, sad mystery. But I just couldn't resist as I try to make sense of what's happening. Losing my connection to SA, Synthetik and John has been a great sadness... and if real, ends a monumental era in my creative life. love,~Victor

Haha I have been trying to stretch the Paint Synthesizer in the…

Teenage Tongue Cult

Hi, here is the video I made back in 2010 for my song "Teenage Tongue Cult". I finally found my master folder of image sequence files for it on one of my old hard drives, and since the version I had on my Vimeo was of pretty terrible pixelated low quality visually, I re-did it yesterday. It has extensive use of Studio Artist through the whole thing. I made it by first animating the characters and scenes in Flash, against a mostly kind of muddy green background, a color I knew wasn't being used…
