Online Tutor needed

I am new to StudioArtist. I have messed around a little, and have a general understanding of how things work. but only minimally.

I want to find an ONLINE TUTOR, where we can SCREEN SHARE.

I think I'd need 2 or 3 x 1 hour sessions.

I'm happy to pay any reasonable amount, certainly where someone is a good communicator and knows the things I wish to learn. I can pay in advance per session via paypal or whatever is easiest.

I am interested in working specifically w MOVIE OUTPUTS. (I'm trying to make moving images only, not static drawings)

for instance, I want to output as quickly as possible, from footage I've shot.

I want to minimize wait times, certainly for experiments that I want to try. e.g. less FPS can be fine. but I also want to learn whatever simple "best practices" exist for StudioArtist.

I bet all of the info I need is right in front of me in a text document. but for the time it will take me to find it, I'd just as soon hire a talented person to teach me online.

I hope I hear from someone. I'm currently in Toronto. after jan3rd I will be on the west coast in Victoria, BC.

thx for reading this far!!

  • Feel free to ask specific studio artist questions here on the user forum and people will pipe in with answers to them.

I forwarded your tutor request to someone with a lot of studio artist movie processing experience who might be interested.

There are a lot of articles online at the synthetik tips and blog and tutorial video sites. You can use the tags or do searches to find articles of interest for specific topics.

  • Hi Ron,

John Dalton told me you were looking for some movie processing tips and best practices. I have developed personal SA habits which might be of some use to you. Feel free to get in touch. Looks like you can message me after you add me as a ning friend. Look forward to hearing from you.

On the closure of the User Forum : An open letter to John Dalton

Hi John I have no idea what you are going through. However the impact you have made not to continue with the user forum and your desire keep it as a permanent feature as promised in the past is a big shock. It also betrays the faith and love we have shown in you and Studio Artist.  Bluntly spoken, it sucks. That you have chosen to follow this direction in silence, allowing no compassion or understanding on our part is a betrayal of the deepest level. What is going on? This is not the John…

Interdimensional Coincidence Control

Hi everyone, I am glad the site is still here! Here is a new short video I made. All made in Studio Artist, several separate videos with alpha channels, then combined in layers with the music in Blender. A lot of MSG running through brushes, with several of the brush Path Starts being controlled by the MSG Scan Generator in the Generator part of the Path Start in the Paint Synthesizer. Also some MSG running through a brush, then making a video of that with an alpha channel, then making that a…

Whats going on with this site?

Has anyone else gotten a warning about this site disappearing? An email form just popped up, asking me to contract the owner and leave a message to let them know that they may loose their "network"Did Synthetik forget to pay it's bills, or is something else going on?I think 8 months is more than enough vacation time. Is anyone at Synthetik doing any development work at all?
