Some time ago there was a mention of adding a feature to compare presets. Did anything ever come from that discussion among the dev crew? That would be a valuable feature for learning about presets and how to modify them. Please add it to the wish list if it has not been implemented.
Alternatively, a utility to translate a preset into human language would be almost as useful.

The 'get info' feature mentioned in that older post is in V5. Doesn't give you an explicit difference to another preset, but does clue you into things turned on in a given preset. So it cn give you an overview of specific things turned on in a paint preset.
Yes, I'm familiar with the get info feature. Unfortunately, the info is minimal in most cases. For instance, small differences in brush and/or path settings can make a major difference in the stroke, but probably will not show up in the get info output.
If the dev team has a utility to translate the preset (bit code?) into human readable form that would be a big step in the direction of comparing presets, since there are a lot of utilities for comparing text files.
