Hi
Does Studio Artist allows analyses of a painter’s technique , the analyse being then based from some pictures of his paintings to be then applied to videos sequences of similar environments and landscapes
The artist i’m thinking about comes for Burkina Faso and most of his paintings are inspired by a quite realistic capture of everyday’s life in villages and popular districts of western african’s town
IF YES ...This is how i expect this process to be realistically possible : the idea being to apply the created style to a video clip, or more precisely in where single images of each takes would have been chosen by the artist as subjects to create a his paintings. This in order to help the software to recreate the technique in every aspects as accurate as possible
(considering the almost accurate similitudes in subjects between the painted artwork and the photos/videos)
Perhaps such work might better be done through a wacom tablet (i own an intros model bought in 2002) with capture of his work at different but crucial states ( primary drowning sketches, background elements, etc…)
The artist : Zakaria YODA here a myspace’s page of the artist :
Here some more on-topic paintings of hese on my own page
(you just need to move the bar, being among some black-and-white ink pencils of mine,...with my excuses not having currently access to better capture that are on my other platform)

Here a clear example of a video clip in where i hope to apply the created style !
As you can see, both visual, colored and textural environment are very similar and let me hope of the feasibility of such projet...

SA will not analyze the image and discern the artist's style. However, if you are able breakdown the artist's technique it is quite possible that you could create a custom Paint Action Sequence that would approximate that style.
I see...
...just in case : Does such a process simply exist ?
By rough comparison with the audio domain, it make me things on analysis/resynthesis technologies used in some hi-end additive synthesizer, like Alchemy or Cube, or some hybrid software like Metasynth
Alexandre,
Your question is one that lies at the very heart of what Synthetik Software is all about. So if that is your goal or desire, you've definitely come to the right place. And we are the right company to address your needs.
I started on a very detailed answer that specifically addresses all of the many varied aspects of your question, including specific observations about music software like the packages you listed in your reply to LiveArt, and how that relates to graphical image resynthesis.
I then got derailed by the realities of owning a software company, so my complete finished reply to you might not make it up as a post until tomorrow. Depends on how much time i can free up at the end of today to work on it.
Anyway, i just wanted to let you know that not only is your question a fascinating one, it's a topic we think about and care about quite deeply here at Synthetik Software. And i can assure you we are the only graphics software company i'm aware of with a serious interest in addressing the full solution to the interesting questions you have brought up.
I'll explain all of that in very great detail in my extended reply to your fascinating question. Please bear with me if that extended reply does not get posted until tomorrow. but i wanted to let you know that your questions will be addressed in a very serious fashion here with that extended post.
