I have been using Screenium since version 1, and I find it extremely useful for capturing whatever happens on my monitors, including when working in Studio Artist.
I also use SnapzPro, but to get the fully functioning SnapzPro costs a lot more than Screenium (a concern when using several Macs), and for doing almost all that I need such a tool for, Screenium works great.
I just saw that the new version of Screenium (v.3) is available at half-price, and I thought this could interest some SA users (I jumped on the sale as I had “only” v.1 and v.2 here).
It can be purchased here.

HI Jean
Thanks. I have been thinking about screen capture for a while. Screenium gets great reviews and the price is right. I also saw one other interesting one....Capto. Best wishes for the holidays. Paul
Paul,
I work regularly with Screenium and less often with SnapzPro, and can vouch for the reliability of both,.
This latest version of Screenium works great at very high res (if your Mac has the horsepower) and the interface has been greatly simplified.
Have not tried Capto, so can’t say a thing about it.
Happy holidays!
Jean
I've also used Quicktime's screen recording feature to success.
QuickTime’s screen recording has very limited features when compared to Screenium or Snapz Pro, but it comes with the OS.
Capturing in real-time what happens in the Canvas could be an added feature to SA.
