Hello,
Can anyone give me tips on how to get good results from the paint sketch presets?
Often, my sketches will be very weak or have faint lines. Also, most times it doesn't give me a nice solid outline and will finish mid sketch / only sketch half the image.
How do I ...
- create bold outlines
- control edge threshold / edge detection
- change line thickness
- change brush/tip
- how do I control the fill options ie. a sketch that fills mass vs. a sketch that fills outside the mass
I'm trying to get something that is like a cross between a sketch and a vector effect with the ability to change the tip/brush/stroke for various effects.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

a few examples of your efforts would help. Also which sketch presets you have been exploring and an example of what you want as a result. There are many paths to a result in Studio Artist.
A specific answer depends on what particular paint preset(s) you are using, and how it is programmed.
The thickness of a paint stroke is a function of the maximum size of the brush (specified in the Brush Source) control panel. And how that size is then being modulated while drawing takes place (the top part of the Brush Modulation control panel).

Another approach is to generate bezier paths from source edges, and then paint them in.
