Read more…Hi, here is the video I made back in 2010 for my song "Teenage Tongue Cult". I finally found my master folder of image sequence files for it on one of my old hard drives, and since the version I had on my Vimeo was of pretty terrible pixelated low quality visually, I re-did it yesterday. It has extensive use of Studio Artist through the whole thing. The sketch Mass ip op was not designed so that the brush width of the effect is resolution independent.
What you could do is use that ip op to generate vectors that are painted in by the paint synthesizer. The characteristics of the paint could then resolution adjust if you want the brush size to increase. You could either do that by generating a bezier path frame from the ip op effect (path : generate paths : from ip op menu), and then painting in the bezier path frame (path : paint paths : full layer).
Or, you could directly embed the ip op inside of a single paint preset. There's a paint synth macro edit to help you with that, since the series of individual edits is kind of technical. It's the PathStart IpOp Sketch macro edit command.
Some of the optional effect components of the sketch mass ip op effect are image processing operations, so those parts of the effect if you are using them will not translate to vectors you can paint in. And you may need to adjust the paint mix down to simulate what is going on in sketch mass when multiple iterations are run with partial transparency for each iteration.
