I wonder if anybody else had this problem?

I am using SA a4.8.

In the movie that I am working on at the moment, a 1-pixel white line has appeared at the bottom and right edges of the image. It appeared at the beginning of a movie. Usually I start a movie by loading the end image of the previous one as source and copying it to the canvas, so the white lines probably appeared at that time, though I didn't notice it then. The white lines stay there until they are overwritten by a brush stroke.

In a later movie in that same series, a small white bar (1 x 77 pixels) appears in the upper left corner. This happens in the middle of the movie, and I have no idea what may have triggered it. Apparently it appeared while I was using one of the brushes in "4.0 Collection - MSG LineTo Scan1". I started auto painting with the Action button and then changed the colors as the action was running. Again, I didn't notice it at the time, and again the white line stays there until overwritten. I suppose it must have been visible on the SA window, but being so small and in a corner I never noticed it.

I think this may have happened before but I thought it was a problem with Final Cut Express at the time and didn't really investigate it.

I will try to be more attentive to this in the future and post more information if it happens again.

It happened again. A white line at the bottom and right edges at the beginning of the movie, so presumably it appeared when I loaded the last image and used the Erase button to copy the source image to canvas. But again I only noticed much later, while viewing the movie in Final Cut.

I take it nobody else has had this problem?

Well I guess I am the only one...

I just found out that the white pixels, in this last case at least, appeared not when I copied the source image to canvas, but at the previous step, when I saved the canvas to a tiff file. Now that I now what to look for, hopefully in the future I will be able to spot it before it's too late to do anything about it.

Saving the canvas doesn't modify the pixel values in the canvas layer buffers in any way.

Well I'm sure it's not supposed to, but in the tiff image, a line of white pixels appeared at the bottom and right edges of the image. These white line were not on the canvas originally, and they do not appear in the movie I made from this same canvas.

Okay, I think I've got it now: the white pixels fringe appears when I undo an action: the canvas is restored to its previous state, except for the last pixels at the bottom and/or right side, which stay white. Not every time, but it seems frequent enough at least for me.

We can't replicate the behavior you are describing here. If you could provide a detailed description of a series of steps to do to reproduce the problem that would help us understand what you are experiencing.
