In which order Bernard FF first then SA or did you use FF to inflate the SA drawing.

I used FF first, then SA scribble sketch paint preset

Thanks Michael, I just discover FF, it's an interesting software, there are effects that I can't do with SA, but SA has more functionsl. But I think you can use both....it completes well.

Yes it has a nice lighting system. It really isn't a filter program, but rather a node based generative paint program. one can create "brushes" but with no pen control the paint placement is limited to the noise algos. Primarily the "bomber" but also perlin and cells. A great deal fewer choices on placement than in SA. I did like your work and yes of course one can use different creative programs together.

I also think it is interesting to see how effects are created in FF and bring the method concept back in to SA for totally different results.

I think this visual node base editor is really a good thing in FF.

It's easier to use than the PChain editor in SA. It's better to understand, how the preset works in FF.

In SA, you must read each line to know the I/O and see how they are conected together.

A suggestion to John for V5 :

Is it possible to have a visual node base editor for the MSG ?

Ha!... I knew that the engineer in you liked the node based system. I think actually that it is more difficult unless you have a 35 in monitor.  The map gets big fast and all the connections are no longer visible at one glace -- unless you make the map so small that you can't read it (or at least on my 17'in laptop with my old eyes that is the case).

The I/O connections are only one part, think of all the parameters with each and how cumbersome that could get on a node based system.

I would rather John spent the time programing for "compiled" Paseqs that we could then use recursively..

Yes you're right, it's better to have a big monitor...

OK...it was only a suggestion for John, in case he could not sleep :-)

I started a separate forum discussion on MSG editing to continue this discussion.

This was the FF generated picture before SA. The "volume" is (I think) more than I can make with MSG.
