Sorry Tony, I deleted accidentally your post.

I first used John's TSP preset (delaunay triangulation effect) to generate the svg picture.

Then I import it in Aurora3Dmaker, that is a really interesting text software. I bought it yesterday.

And it's working different then Art Text. I generated the metal edges. And I import the same picture but not in SVG mode, only as a jpg. And with Aurora, you can setup the Alpha Channel and mix them together.

What is also interesting with SA, is that you can modify any preset in a PASeq and then use this preset to generate a SVG picture. For example, if you only have a paint preset, you record it again, and add a erase to white, for the first action, then you use your paint preset. And you record the new preset as a PASeq. So with this method, you can create PASeq from other simple presets. And generate the SVG pictures

If Tony was referring to the outlines associated with the triangles when he was referring to metallic edges, there are a lot of different ways to do that kind of thing in Studio Artist.

Let's assume you were using some process like the vectorizer to build shapes. Typically there is an edge outline coloring option in addition to the coloring options for the shapes. You also have the option to generate the shapes as bezier paths and store them in the current bezier path frame. So they could then be re-painred with another paint preset.

You could use that second option and then use a pint preset that works with brush load lighting to generate outlines that have some metal shading looks to them.

It does bring up an interesting question. When we typically have separate coloring options for a flat region vs it's outline, the outline is drawn with a flat color bezier pen of some fixed size. There's a lot of 3D shading options available for vector shapes in V5. But we could perhaps provide some more shading options for the pen outline itself too. Sound interesting?

SVG generated with the vectorizer

Nice work Bernard. I just started look at Aurora and am finding it very easy to use. I like the concepts of multiple lighting angles with coloured lights.

Thanks Tony, I think there are more possibilities (and different) in Aurora than Art Text.

The only difference, is that one needs only SVG and the other EPS. SA generates both !

And these softwares are not expensive too.

Yes Tony, light control adds nice effect to depth. Here for example, a vectorized extruded picture with different lightings :

John, is a light control a possibility in V5 ? If you work with 3D options with the vectorizer or MSG it could be interesting.

Or adding gradient options in the extruded regions ?

Are those two vertical lines in the brighter of the three, a defect?
