Gavotte (v. 2)

This is Jean-Philippe Rameau’s “Gavotte et 6 doubles”, music which has been with me for a very long time. As I am not getting any younger (71 or almost at the time of writing), I finally decided to listen to it with my eyes, and as I have several…

Gavotte

I started working with this music as a form or exercise, one of the many sketches I do on a daily basis, a discipline I carried over the digital workflow from my decades of dedicated natural media work/life. But this music is way too deep to be left…

Pour Jeanne Moreau

I have been looking for this old sketch as soon as I learned about Jeanne Moreau’s passing (July 31, 2017). I knew that the original movie had been lost in yet another drive meltdown, but I was hoping there would be a copy somewhere. I finally found…

Jean,

I think the http://studioartist.ning.com/forum/topics/on-artistic-series-ii
thread maxed out.
I personally love reading what you write and the passion and thought you put into it.
Gets me charged up every time.
As a working artist I need to be able to control my medium and expression to make the buck. And my job is also to tell other artists what to do and how... I pretty much live and breath the tried and true - technically and artistically.

But I am also reaching for the "thing" that preceded all the knowledge and technique I am buried under... wether its "me" or other.

Thanks for sharing the vision and the passion!

hello, Jean,

did you ever get my CD called "Being and Nothingness"?

I have made some progress with both Cinema and Studio Artist, but in the latter am still quite amateurish with movies that turn out jerky. So much to learn!

All the best,

Otto

(I moved to Gloucester, MA, the area where the Folly Cove Designers worked between 1938-68, there is rich cultural heritage here!)

How to Set the Canvas to Transparent

Hello, I'm using SA5 and would like to set the Canvas to transparent so that when I save the image as a PNG file, only what I have drawn on the canvas will be saved without the white background.  Is there any easy way to do this?  Thank you, T.C.See More
