This is Jean-Philippe Rameau’s “Gavotte et 6 doubles”, music which has been with me for a very long time.
As I am not getting any younger (71 or almost at the time of writing), I finally decided to listen to it with my eyes, and as I have several…
I started working with this music as a form or exercise, one of the many sketches I do on a daily basis, a discipline I carried over the digital workflow from my decades of dedicated natural media work/life.
But this music is way too deep to be left…
"For a long time, I used the ProRes 422(HQ) option, it was the format I worked with in both SA and FCP and later FCP X, but once I saw (on a movie theatre screen) the “same” movie in 422 (HQ) and in 4444, I was sold on ProRes…"
"Snapz Pro rocks, but is not cheap if, as I do, you need that kind of utility on a number of computers.
I’ve been using if for many many years, but if you do not need all the bells and whistles that come with the full Snapz Pro (like…"
I have been looking for this old sketch as soon as I learned about Jeanne Moreau’s passing (July 31, 2017).
I knew that the original movie had been lost in yet another drive meltdown, but I was hoping there would be a copy somewhere.
I finally found…
Marco Ambrosini, master of the nyckelharpa, and Younes Paknezhad, master of the kemanche, met in the ORF studio in Linz (May 5th 2017).
They had never played together, and without any preparation (no rehearsing), they started improvising.
I think the http://studioartist.ning.com/forum/topics/on-artistic-series-ii

I personally love reading what you write and the passion and thought you put into it.
Gets me charged up every time.
As a working artist I need to be able to control my medium and expression to make the buck. And my job is also to tell other artists what to do and how... I pretty much live and breath the tried and true - technically and artistically.
But I am also reaching for the "thing" that preceded all the knowledge and technique I am buried under... wether its "me" or other.
"Here's one quick idea. MSG processors are available to transform from RGB to a number of different color spaces (and back again), including YIQ, VHS, LHS, LAB, LUV, etc. SO you could transform the image to an alternate color space, then add a…"
I am looking for an MSG preset that randomly changes the colour combinations of an image without changing the image in any other way.I've been through the presets and all the ones i've come up with over the years.... has anybody got one they could share?thanksSee More
"Studio Artist 5 ships on the mac with the normal 32 bit version as well as a 64 bit build. The 32 bit build is full featured, the 64 bit build lacks support for anything quicktime related, since the quicktime sdk is 32 bit only. We provided the 64…"
"If you have alpha view enabled, then the contents of the canvas alpha channel will be output when you save the canvas as a PNG file.
If you erase the background of the canvas, you want to use a full erase as opposed to just a rgb content erase if…"
Hello, I'm using SA5 and would like to set the Canvas to transparent so that when I save the image as a PNG file, only what I have drawn on the canvas will be saved without the white background. Is there any easy way to do this? Thank you, T.C.See More
