Version 3.5 of Studio Artist runs fine on intel macs. In fact, it runs faster in emulation mode on an intel tower than it does on a ppc tower. So i would say go ahead an install 3.5 on your intel machine.
Version 4 does run native on intel and ppc macs as well as windows. We're finishing up some final work on the release. But even when v4 comes out you will still probably want to have 3.5 and MSG Evolver running on your machine. Some features you use in 3.5 may have been dropped or changed in v4. Some but not all MSG Evolver features were added to v4 Studio Artist, so you might wish to continue using MSG Evolver to access those features.

Hi,I'm working with alpha layers and was wondering if the alpha / alpha1 composite options are the best way forward if I want to paint a few brush strokes in a layer?..It seems that using 'replace' composite leaves a sort of haloing around the brush stroke when all the layers are viewed, alpha composite seems to remove this problem, or is it my imagination?thanksSee More
