Variations on Gauguin, Martinique Seashore

My third set of variations on a traditional artwork, as discussed here: http://studioartist.ning.com/forum/topics/using-sa-to-produce-sets-of-variations-on-traditional-artworksprovides variations on Gauguin’s 1887 painting of the Martinique Seashore.  As with the other sets, a mix of different techniques are used—these make much use of layer composites.  I’ll upload the original plus 14 variations in 3 groups of 4 each plus one group of 3:See More

Variations on Matisse, Green Line

My second set of variations on a traditional artwork, as discussed here: http://studioartist.ning.com/forum/topics/using-sa-to-produce-sets-of-variations-on-traditional-artworks is centered round Matisse’s 1905 portrait of his wife, known as the Green Line because of that prominent feature.  I’ll upload the original plus 14 variations in 3 groups of 4 each plus one group of 3:See More

Some Advantages of Supplementing Lightroom with the ON1 image Viewer/Database/Editor

I've previously explored some of the benefits of using SA along with a sophisticated image viewer, database and editor such as Lightroom (LR), eg in working with my SA Preset Samples collections: http://studioartist.ning.com/group/studio-artist-preset-samples-group/forum/topics/advantages-of-using-sa-preset-sample-collections But I've recently found a roughly equivalent viewer/database and editor that is better than LR on one important function, and which also usefully complements LR in other significant ways. This is the ON1 Photo RAW 2018 app for Mac or Windows: https://www.on1.com/products/photo-raw/ which can be used along with Lightroom, or even as a replacement if so desired. First, ON1 has one crucial advantage over Lightroom.  This shows itself when processing several SA presets…See More
