Karen, I am sure John will reply in more detail. Version 4 is a beta version so it is not fully released. That said, it is available to SA users in it's current form. I have also been an SA user since V1. I have been using the SA4 beta since June...

I believe the new version (SA V4) is Windows compatible. By the way, Macs now can also can run windows software. Good speed and memory are a big help in running SA. If you are buying a Mac, an intel chip Mac with Snow Leopard would be the most u...

I made the change and eliminated the space in the user guide name but the User Guide still does no open in help. It is actually layer resizing I was looking for. In 3.5 the U hot key allowed that but in dev4, that doesn't seem to work.

Rondan - the organic feel you get with SA is what attracted me to the app to begin with. The sgraffito look is achieved with layering (though I don't actually use layers) of color and texture using various combinations of "brushes" that destroy, texture and apply. Basically I just goof around until I get something I like and then go with it. Don't know if that is anything like your approach/style so maybe you have some ideas that might improve the process. Thanks again!

Rondan - thanks and glad you like it. This painting developed quickly as I sort of botched up my initial painting and headed in a totally different direction than intended. So I thought what the heck, run with it. We encourage "happy" accidents (when we aren't pissed off at ourselves) :-).

Hi and thanks for the positive comment. I've been working with SA to achieve a conventional/traditional hand painted look and I hope that comes across in this piece. Thanks again! Richard F.
