Thanks for your compliments. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I took the photo at Coney Island of a ride there. The original was actually a night shot. It looked so great that I almost just kept it as it was with a bit of sharpening. I'm glad I played with it in Studio Artist and used feathered masks to add the red and green halo.

About Me:

To date, I have followed a career in international development working overseas, for the most part in Latin America and the Caribbean and at home in the British Isles. I was educated at St. Andrews in Scotland, Havana, Cuba and London. I am now stepping in a different direction. I would like to explore my creative talents through film-making, photography and writing. Using these more popular media, I aspire to reach a larger audience with social documentaries and films, and to experiment with arthouse on a variety of themes. I also have some book ideas I wish to develop in conjunction with photography. It's a new direction, building on experience and knowledge to date and it's evolving, so I am taking it step-by-step. I now need to purchase a Canon RebelXTi and camcorder ... thanks. :-)

such a learning curve ...

Gosh! There is so much to learn. I think an artist's technical knowledge could go a long way. I feel my pieces a little amateurish right now, and so want to get better. Must keep persevering! The possibilities are seemingly endless ..... I must get through all those tutorials. Off to Canada (West coast) next Sunday - so excited to meet a new place and explore new spaces. So, I ordered Studio Artist this morning. It will mean I can save stuff I work on - always a bonus! I expect I will receive it next week. It's all good. :-)
