Free and open to the public

twenty times plus

Times Twenty Plus (X20+)
chronicles, compiles and serves as a place and structure for video and sound art in the North Texas area. These fields of activity are distinctive
practices in the arts that are growing rapidly. Video/Sound
equipment and software have become portable and economically feasible
for a growing number of artists to utilize as a tool for the creative
process. X20+ is a conduit to the proliferation of video/sound art and
feeds off the technology and cultural forms of the current timescape in
which we are living.

X20+ will hold performances and presentations in both theaters and in the lobby of the McKinney Avenue
Contemporary Complex. X20+ breaks the norms of traditional genres of
art by presenting linear and nonlinear, narrative and non narrative,
abstract and figurative video and sound art compiled into one Saturday evening filled with video and sound action.

The compilation of twenty plus video artists will begin at 11:00 am and
will continuously play and loop in the Heldt Hall Theater until 6:00
pm. There will be additional programming beginning at 6:00 in both
Heldt Hall and Black Box theaters.
