BTW, here is a still frame from the source video I used for this animation... just to give a sense of how far SA can take the aBsTrAcTiOn while still (barely) holding onto (and conveying) the original meaning.

Are you doing some frame blending with this?
Comment by Victor Ingrassia on December 2, 2008 at 11:22am
Yes, a bit. Because the source video had very little movement in it I was able to set the Vectorizer's composite setting to 50%. So each vectorized frame only partially (50%) overdrew the previous canvas image. Also I didn't mention it earlier, but I actually used 2 passes here. First to create the vectorized output from the original source video... then another pas of that output to add some edge detail and to improve color and contrast. I probably could have done all that in one pass... but I was experimenting and getting fairly far afield inefficient in my practices.

That's why i added the standard composite controls to all the different op modes. You would have had to use separate layers or do the frame blend in another pass in the past. I think the inline compositing features of Studio Artist are fairly powerful since they provide a way to do in a single layer what you would need multiple layers to do in other programs.

Ok, you inspired me to add some new region effect options.

Randomization option

Hi,Is there a way to use the "random" button to randomize all parameters in the editor instead of just one? Or lock some and let the randomizer randomize the remaining parameters? Its quite useful for discovery but think it would be way better if it randomized all parameters or had a choice of what to randomize or not. Thanks.See More

"Thanks! Tho I had already downloaded the Pro codecs on both machines... it apparently took copying the codecs to the folder you described to solve it. And, of course, I had to relaunch SA for them to appear."
