There's a new tutorial tip that discusses how to convert a raster image operation effect into something that generates vector output. The particular example discussed int he tip is how to take the Line Screen Regionize effect and generate vector output from it. But the techniques discussed apply to a wide range of different image operation effects.
The Studio Artist 4 PASeq preset files generated in the tip is provided below for download.
One cool additional thing that falls out of this tutorial is that you can use the vectorizer with the 'flat input' settings detailed in the tutorial to take an image processing effect that generates hard flat color edges that have some aliasing artifacts and get convert it into an anti-aliased smooth version of the same effect.
Typically i have used repeated applications of the Smart Blur image operation to do this. Using the vectorizer to do it is a very different approach. The Smart Blur settings i use to clean up hard rough edges are the following:
Basically, what I'm trying to do is use a pre-exiting mp4 video as my source and then auto-rotoscope it as seen in this tutorial video:

The number of frames in your animation will…"
"OK, so on windows if you are running V4 or V5, you need to make sure you add a .mov file extension to the name of the movie file you are creating.
Otherwise the movie file you create will not have a file extension.
That didn't used to matter on…"
Hey everybody, I'm new here and totally new to Studio Artist, as well. So far I'm loving the program--everything I create in the program looks amazing! But I'm having trouble exporting finished videos OUT of the program that actually play. I did receive a nice email from Peter here when I emailed Support but he also asked that I post my questions here on the forum so others can see and chime in.Basically, what I'm trying to do is use a pre-exiting mp4 video as my source and then auto-rotoscope…See More
