I was crawling the streets of Matera, Italy today and may have discovered where SA is hiding! (see attached photo). Not meaning to make light of this great, sad mystery. But I just couldn't resist as I try to make sense of what's happening. What is in the Editor changes depending on the operation mode you are in? And what are you specifically referring to.
You can insert a screen shot if necessary.
Also, there is nothing in the Editor associated with a 'preset file'. There are things associated with the current state of the interface (which a preset file can reset), as well as 'patch' memories that record the adjustable settings associated with the operation mode editable controls. Patch memories to not access preset files, they are stored in memory.
You can adjust the sizing of the palettes in the workspace to hide some parts of the palette panel from view.
If you are talking about the tabs associated with docked palettes, did you change the docking setup so they are no longer docked?
