I am having trouble figuring out this site's (ning) html embed code to embed a Vimeo movie in a blog post so it shows in both the list of posts and the post itself. Currently I only have code that embeds the movie in the post itself... but the movie does NOT show in the blog post list. Can anyone help? thnx

Read more…Hi, here is the video I made back in 2010 for my song "Teenage Tongue Cult". I finally found my master folder of image sequence files for it on one of my old hard drives, and since the version I had on my Vimeo was of pretty terrible pixelated low quality visually, I re-did it yesterday. It has extensive use of Studio Artist through the whole thing. I made it by first animating the characters and scenes in Flash, against a mostly kind of muddy green background, a color I knew wasn't being used…

The quick answer is that there is a 'Share' button associated with the vimeo videos. When you click on it a dialog comes up with an embed code inside of it. You copy paste that into the Media entry inside of the ning text editor. So like adding an image, but you use the Media button in the tab above as opposed to the Image button.
What happens in the Ning recent posts section of the forum changes over time. Images or movies showing up in there has changed behavior over time.
I'll take some screen shots the next tim i do a video post and put them in this thread.
Thanks. I've been using the share embed code from Vimeo... and it embeds the video in the post. But I am not getting it showing up in the post list ... the way your videos do. No biggy... but am interested.

I think using the Media button to put the movie embed at the very beginning of the post is the key to the movie showing up the way you want it to.
