I've got a black and white image, and I want to load a custom color palette for a Gallery Show run. I can't figure out how to do that in the Gallery Show preferences.
What are the steps?
Bonus question: How do I do a truly randomized palette? When I select "Random Gen" in Gallery Show preferences I don't get very "colorful" output.
I'm looking for a more psychedelic/rainbow effect achieved either way… via a custom palette, or via random colors.
Any advice/tips?

Edit : Palette : Generate From : Random Coin Toss generates a random color palette.
The Random Gen option in the Palette Option in Gallery Show picks from a set of different approaches to generating a 'random' palette.
So i might be using that, or it might be using one of the Edit : Palette : Randomize Source Color menu options. Or other things like that.
keep in mind that you might have something setup in your gallery show processing cycle that loads or configures the color palette, blowing away what the Palette Option did. So you should check that.
Also, gallery show isn't going to necessarily use the color palette. that is up to how you configure your gallery show cycle.
If you are working with paint presets in gallery show, the painting is sensitive to how you have the Source area configured. So you can manually change the Source Area settings while it's running, changing the popup in there to different options, switching between the image, color, palette, gradient tabs, etc.
So make sure you have that setup to palettize if you want the color palette to be used, or be working with paint presets that have that dialed in inside of the paint synthesizer, etc.
