Hi,
My macbookpro 2015 is coming to an end. Any experiences here already with the 13 inch m1 16 gb with regards to using SA 5.5 ? Good and whta wokrs less good ?
Or would the 16 inch intel full specs still be the better one in terms of rendering and working with Studio Artist ?
Thanks,
Paul

The ARM M1 macs are really the future.
If you don't need a powerbook form factor, you might want to consider the M1 iMac as an alternative to the M1 powerbook. More screen real-estate. Although it's 24 inch, not 27 inch display.
The ARM chip system on a chip architecture apple put together for the M1 machines has a very clever implementation of cache memory, which is essentially one of the limitations in getting good performance on modern computers. They have multiple cache memories that are configured to be physically close to the actual cpu cores.
The ARM chips also run cooler.
Great, and I agree of course the specs looking good !
So what you are saying is, here is no issues to go M1 now with the new 5.5 SA software ?
That sounds great then
Thanks,
Paul
I just find out myself SA 5.5.3 running on Rosetta, when using the M1.
so this new version 5.5 is not working the same anymore correct, if using the new M1 MacBook pro 13?
Any information how to deal with it ?
I'm not sure i understand your question.
We run Studio Artist V5.5 (every update version of it) on M1 macs here every day (and the program would be running in Rosetta emulation since it is not native compiled for ARM at present), and i'm not aware of any issues associated with that.

Ever since you pointed this out on launch day, I just can’t get over it.
