If one is interested to have SA on his iPad, I made some tests :
They must be on the same Wifi Network !
1 - Download : Air Display Free on Apple Store on your iPad.
2 - Download Air Display on your Mac, Imac, or Mac Book on :
http://avatron.com/apps/air-display#downloads
3 - Ipad : run Air Display Free
4 - Imac : run :
5 - You can now connect the Ipad with the IP adress that the Ipad give.
6 - You have 2 choices : the same screen on both, or an extended screen on the Ipad
If you choose copy screen (preferences, screens) the SA screen can be too height (the circles are ellipses) because the relosution off the iPad 3 is 2048x1536 - 4/3, and your Imac is 16/10 screen size
example :
if you choose extended screen :
On the last picture, you see that the Mac Book has another picture and SA is on the iPad. Only inconvenient : the menu bar is always on the Mac screen,
Advantage : you can use your Ipad everywhere the Wifi works in your house...and paint with your fingers if they are not too big !

Thanks for posting this!
I'm sure it will be of interest to all of our Studio Artist mac users who also own iPads.
And for Windows users ?
Or time to step-over to Apple !
Here's the windows software download, sure, also possible ! The principle is the same. If I have the time I'll post it.
Air Display works with windows. You download their client to your windows computer, and then run Air Display on your ipad. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks very similar to using it on a mac.
One advantage of using the extended option is that you can put some palettes on your main computer and just put the canvas on the ipad. I kind of like using it that way. So you just use the ipad for finger painting on the canvas.
Good idea, example with 2 quick pictures :
Ipad only drawing surface. Here I began with a 1024/768 picture (you can go to 2048 x 1536 without zooming) to have a 4/3 size so it adjust to the entire screen
and the Mac Book Air :
I have the menus on this one :
Source area, Preset, Editor, Layers, PASeq..
I prefered take the pictures with my Macbook Air rather than my Imac27, because you have here a mobil solution !
Would be great to see a native iOS version of SA. An iPad is more than powerful enough to handle it easily.
Sure that the Ipad is powerful enough. But I don't think that it will interest Synthetik to develop an Ipad version....so it was just an idea for a home use !
