Studio Artist User Group showcase on vimeo

Hey All,

I just created a Studio Artist Users Group on vimeo.  If you're already using vimeo to host your videos online then please consider joining the group.  Its like the video gallery here except that its readily searchable and viewable by other vimeo users.  My hope is that as more SA users use vimeo to host their work, Studio Artist will get a few more ticks of visibility which hopefully means more users and the potential to see some more amazing work.

If you're already a vimeo user and you've used vimeo to post to the gallery, I've sent you an invite.  If you are a vimeo user but haven't uploaded any of your work please consider adding some and joining the group.  If you're not yet using vimeo (I recommend it) please consider trying it out--especially if you aren't happy with YouTube.  Then come on over and join the group.  If you want an invite, drop me a message either here or over on vimeo.

Hope to catch your work soon!

(For disclosure sake, I'm not associated with vimeo save for the fact that I'm an end user.)

  • i have just tried to link to it
  • Thanks Chris.

Do you know if there's any way to link videos already posted on vimeo under a user name over to the new users group? Or do you have to re-upload to the new group?
    • Easiest way to do it once you've joined the group is to navigate to your videos, select the one you want to add to the group, click the "add" button and click on the radio box for Synthetik Studio Artist Users Group under the Add to Groups category. And voila, you're done!

When you upload a new video, click the add to group button and you're all set. I've added some of my videos and Florence's but haven't gotten to everyone that's in the group yet. If you beat me to it, no hard feelings. : - D
  • And BTW, I have made a habit of always adding the tags synthetik software and studio artist to my uploaded SA videos on VIMEO. A number of folks are doing this... so viewers can easily click on the tags and find lots of SA work.
    • Excellent Idea with the tags. A little best practices note, when tagging your videos, its usually a good idea to add your name to your clips. In this case, its also useful to do as Victor does and use the tags synthetik software and studio artist. The more instances the tags have, the higher the clips tend to show up on google searches and in vimeo itself. And it makes it easier to find when doing something like this.
  • thanks chris
will start linking to my vids there

Interdimensional Coincidence Control

Hi everyone, I am glad the site is still here! Here is a new short video I made. All made in Studio Artist, several separate videos with alpha channels, then combined in layers with the music in Blender. A lot of MSG running through brushes, with several of the brush Path Starts being controlled by the MSG Scan Generator in the Generator part of the Path Start in the Paint Synthesizer. Also some MSG running through a brush, then making a video of that with an alpha channel, then making that a…

Whats going on with this site?

Has anyone else gotten a warning about this site disappearing? An email form just popped up, asking me to contract the owner and leave a message to let them know that they may loose their "network"Did Synthetik forget to pay it's bills, or is something else going on?I think 8 months is more than enough vacation time. Is anyone at Synthetik doing any development work at all?

Having difficulty exporting canvas as image

I'd like to export a canvas as a .tiff/.tif image file to a folder I made on my desktop.I select that from a dropdown menu, I can name the exported file, change the extension, etc, and I press save but nothing happens. It's always worked until now. It seems like a simple task. Any ideas?I'm on Mac OSX 12.6, if that matters, and my system hasn't changed since the last time I was able to export successfully. Thanks
