I am sneaking three sets of Paint Synth Presets under the tree for 2018.
These are all made to be used as hand drawing tools. They work best on a canvas not much bigger than 2000x2000 px at 150 dpi. I usually work with these drawing on a single layer. The sumi like presets work well used on a second layer set to Multiply1 - over a layer with a textured "paper". Like this.
The vector brushes can generate an svg file thru a PAS. Tho there may be some significant differences in a generated file from the original hand drawing.
The example images below are strokes made with the presets (or representative presets for some that are variations on a theme)
The top level folder CD_PaintSynth_2019 can be dropped into your Studio Artist Preset/Paint folder. Hope you find them fun and useful. Please do point me to imagery you may make (and post) with them. I like to see how people use the tools!
In the folder:
CD_PaintSynth_2019
are three subfolders
CD_vectorPS-presets2019
This is a set of brushes that use the Vector Output. The sample here is a stroke from each preset: https://st3.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/401779016?profile=original
CD_rasterPS_presets2019
This is a random set of raster based brushes - all kinds of different textured effects.

CD_WCSUMI_set182019
This set is a collection of sumi ink like brushes for painting - some old some new. The sumi ink thing is an obsession for me.
