Ok, so i've got both the svg you sent and jpg up in a browser so i can switch back and forth.

It would be helpful to have a paseq associated with how you made the svg. So then we could look at specific actions and see if what comes out via svg matches what you want or not.

I can look at the jpg and see a lot of fine purple or blue lines that don't seem to be there in the svg. Kind of like a skeleton ip op effect? Any chance it was something like that?

The ip op effects that generate vector output don't necessarily translate to svg output in V5. That is something we are trying to clean up. If you used them to drive the paint synth, that would be one way to insure svg generation in current V5. There is a path start generator option to embed an ip op effect that generates bezier paths into a paint synth action step.
