Vector Paint Synth presets. Painting for playback.
The blending options with vector presets in SA produce satisfying effects that I have not seen in any other program.
The video linked shows some of the color blending in the final detail passes and clouds. Color is being inherited from the colors painted on:

Thanks Craig
This is inspiring. Do you mind listing the steps you took to get this and the presets?
Paul,
Thanks for the good words! : )
This one was pretty basic. No special prep. Open a new file. Blank canvas. Blank image source. Switch to using Color in the Source Area. The video actually does a good job of showing the naive aproach I took to "painting". Yellow base. Blue cover (very opaque preset). Some detailing. Wing it! I go to Studio Artist to break away from typical digital painting thinking - so a lot of "happy accidents" happen using the application. This one was something where I didn't end up with a (big) mess, curse and quit without saving. : )
I painted freehand with these two Paint Synth Presets:
Collection: CD_hdmedia_additions_24_042021
cd_vect_rectdrawblend_quadblock (This for the blue)
Collection: CD_hdmedia_additions_23
cd_vect_wetchalk-quadblock_softout (This for the softer yellow outlines in tree and ground and clouds)
There was also some bigger less detailed brush I used for the yellow backdrop (probably another "quadblock" named preset) and a finer line preset in the same collections - used for a few branches...
I dropped a pile of Paint Synth presets (where you can find the two listed above) in the Sharing Group post here:

Thanks to you, Craig and John. ... I am increasingly interested in animation. Developing a unique style using SA and TVPaint are my goals. I was able to purchase TVPaint at significantly reduced educational prices. I have big dreams. Check out TVPaint and the gallery there. It's a great software for old style animation and the potentials are limitless.
