Hi, here is a new video, lots of MSG (background layer) and MSG generation path starts along with Time Particles in the paint synth, the "Piggy" figure I made in ZBrush and then animated in Blender, with embedded alpha channel, then took into Studio Artist and made into several different kinds of Movie Brushes. Several layers composited together in Blender. Music made with Bespoke Synth and my Shenai. If anyone has any questions about how it was done I'd be happy to explain more.…
I am not sure if this forum is active anymore... I thought it would be fun to post a very early piece of mine made with, probably, SA3 or 4. I have been a user since 2001.

So you could build a paint preset, or a set of them, that use an image folder brush for the paint nib. Set it up to use the alpha channel of the particular image in the image brush folder as the brush, and the RGB channel of the particular image as what is painted in. Set it up so it uses random frame indexing in the image brush folder, and set it up so it only paint a single nib, and the path start location is random.
Setup that folder of new custom designed presets as the folder being used for the gallery show main technique.
You now have something you can use to build a generative art strategy that will be painting individual paint nibs of the alpha masked image folder brush images in each gallery show cycle.
So you have a generative process that now builds up a collage like this one. setup the start cycle and end cycle processing accordingly. You now have something to start with to build up this kind of collage art imagery directly in gallery show.
There are other ways you could approach this kind of thing in gallery show that could be setup differently. The approach i just talked about is just one approach out of many different possible ones.
I need to watch the rest of the William Kentridge videos you posted links to in an earlier blog post, because even after just watching the first one it has made me think about what gallery show is doing with the automatic selection masking algorithms in new ways.
I've to dive in at what you suggested. thanks
