This is wonderful! I am very new to studio artist and I'd love to know what presets you used to make this? Or if not presets, what did you do?!

A big part of the way this looks is that the paint for each frame is overdrawing on top of the previous frame's painted output. So you never erase the canvas in your PASeq.
So if you use a thin thready paint preset and don't erase the canvas (except for the first frame) you should be able to build a PASeq that gets close to this particular effect.

I don't remember exactly which preset I used for this . I think it was a variant of one of the sketch paint presets that ship with SA4 with a minor tweak. But outside of that, its just as John said. I didn't re-set the background so its essentially just overdrawing on the previous frame.
One thing that I did do to help some of the "flow" of the animation was to set the frame rate of the movie to 12 frames per second. Gives slower motion and a smoother feel to the animation. Hope that helps!
