Submitted to a call for artworks for the Oakland International Airport Media Wall. It uses keyframed animation, movie brushes, various ImOps. I was particularly interested in the slow moving abstractions. I also enjoyed the strange aspect ratio required for the project: 1600x600. I'm looking forward to future experimentation with extremely high aspect ratios... maybe something like 6400x800 for projection on multiple displays.<br />

"Glideslope" is an abstract, animated exploration designed to function as both ambient and foreground visual experience. It references air, flight, weather, motion, language, data and architectural forms. The goal was to create a piece well resolved on both micro and macroscopic levels. By this I mean it is structured to proceed smoothly (slowly changing arcs, long blends, luxurious liquidity) yet driven forward by rapidly vibrating, textured, digital paint strokes."
