  • really like. Would love to learn more about how you did this! Amazing texture!

  • Thanks! I'm particularly pleased with how this one turned out.

The texture is a combination of a 2D blur set to an Edge 1 composite and the gradient lighting ImOp. What I have found most successful is multiple passes with a very low mix, no higher than 23% and often as low as 7%, and slightly varying the parameters (lighting angle for example, or composite type).

    Have fun!

  • Lucas, have you experimented with the edge 1 composite with the various interactive warps? Self modualate rotate is interesting as is a simple translate. Even the Affines can create some interesting results. Very small adjustments to the warp are key to a texture result.

  • A little bit. Blur has been most consistently useful in my experience. Scale is another useful one. Many of the warps seem to have a very narrow threshold between a tiny adjustment and OMGFG-SPACEWARP!!!! But that may just be my hand.
