Appreciate what you've said Paul. It was an experiment to get a brush that could produce the dot-within-dot-within-dot but I became discouraged (after hours of trying) when the anti-aliasing that I wanted/needed at the edge of the dots eluded me, either with the computational brush or with the image brush. This image consequently was done huge and only looks good at this size. If you or anyone else knows how that sort of brush might be achieved I'd love to know.
