  • I am flattered that you abstracted my avatar -- how did you do it???

  • Was mostly transform, scale, and rotate warps to get the background. Then pulled the bezier path from the original to make the shadow outline for a selection area to burn and desaturate the shadow onto the background. Then an ellipse selection and hue adjust for the darker border. I'm very much just learning the software and thought your photo would be fun to play with.

Looking at it again I probably should have centered the blue reflected shadow on the head of the main shadow. But that's what I get for doing this quickly without any layers.

  • Learning is a process and I hope to get into SA in the near future.  At the moment, I am just taking as many photos as I can and trying to put together a portfolio.  I have joined a couple of professional photography groups and networking is extremely helpful.  I am using the photo I put up as my avatar -- I seem to be receiving a lot of positive reactions to my photos.

  • Studio artist is rather amazing software. It does rather easily several things I have been interested in artistically for some time. Like any good artistic tool it allows for a wide range of styles and working methods so the user can navigate their own voice rather than being directed by the software.

  • Seems like it does a lot of abstract work.  How very interesting
