  • It's a feature from SA 3.5 that is still around in V4, but not currently used anymore. In SA 3.5, MSG was edited in the MSG Evolver program. You created and extensively MSG presets in MSG Evolver, but we wanted people to have the ability to do some limited adjustment when using them in SA. So the user slider TG modulators showed up as user sliders when the MSG presets were loaded into Studio Artist 3.5.

When we did the intel port with the SA V4 development, we didn't have the resources to fully rewrite  a complete new MSG Evolver application from scratch. So we incorporated MSG Editing directly into SA V4 with the built in MSG Advanced Editor and the MSG Evolution Editor.

We've talked about maybe resurrecting this user slider feature, so then you could make MSG presets with very limited user slider parameter editing that would live in the Editor control panel , for people who don't want to use the MSG Advanced Editor, or who find it too overwhelming.
