The LA Times has an article on 'Ink Art : Past as Present in Contemporary China' this weekend. I thought the image included with the article would make good challenge image.
It's a wood block print created by Sun Xun. I like the dark aesthetic of this image a lot.
This print is actually from a woodblock print video animation, so animating a woodblock print effect would be part two of the challenge if you are up for it.
