So only group members can post to specific groups here on the Studio Artist Users Forum. Normally anyone who asks is free to joins a group. However, the membership in this particular group is going to be restricted to a limited set of individuals. And with membership come certain obligations. I will discuss all of this below.

I have noticed that tutorial posts in the general forum, or on other groups can quickly become lead astray by innocent or not so innocent posts by individuals that have nothing to do with the topic being discussed, or are specifically designed to try send run that topic off the rails so to speak.  I think this kind of thing does a great dis-service both to the individuals trying to provide tutorial information to other users, as well as to the overall general user base who has a hunger for new tutorial information.

It is very important that we provide useful written online tutorials for people to learn about all of the great new features available in Studio Artist V5.5.  And i do not want those tutorials to be run off the rails, or muddied up with off topic questions or off topic discussion. That is why i am limiting membership access to this group.

If you want to be a member, fine, email me, and we can discuss it. But be aware that if you are a member, you have a responsibility to view yourself as an educator to our user base with your posts here. The point of this group is to provide tutorial information about Studio Artist V5.5.

If you have a question about some specific topic, that is fine, start a normal forum discussion where you ask it. I am not trying to limit people asking questions, or stating their viewpoints on topics.

If you feel the whole nature of a tutorial discussion about how to use specific program features, or how to approach analysis and reconstruction of specific art rendering techniques is pointless to the over all process of making 'ART', whatever that even is, by all means feel free to express yourself, but do it in a specific new general forum discussion devoted to that viewpoint.

DO NOT muddy the waters of valuable tutorial information other users want and need with off topic questions or philosophical discussions.

I do not mean to be harsh here. Both things i just discussed, off topic questions, and philosophical discussions about different approaches to art, are fine topics, we will all earn something reading them, just do them in their appropriate places, in forum threads specifically devoted to them as topics.
