  • David,

I like this one a lot!
  • Thanks Paul, this one gave me some good lessons. It's SA (all brushes & colors), PS (cleaning up and maskings) , and SnapArt (gentle texturing). The black broken lines were worked up using the smart blur-mode/edges only filter in PS to create masks for re-painted and blended layers in SA. I had to overcome lots of jaggies but this one showed me that it's good to revisit them unfinisheds (the original was done spring '09).
  • I wanted to point out that Smart Blur in Studio Artist's Ip Ops is great for getting rid of jaggies, if you set it up properly. Here's the settings to use:

  • That's a great tip. Thanks. I have been getting there intuitively by creating a second layer of the art and then smoothing it and then blending it by using a percentage of the smoothed layer.
  • David,

I looked up SnapArt on Google. That's one very expensive plugin. I do like the dimensionality and even your rules with dot patterns. The transparency is also beautiful and the interplay of surfaces and light patterns. Keep going with this. It's special.
