  • Thanks for the tip and link Mr. Dalton! If I wanted to look at spacing the pieces of the mosaic creating some white space, which setting would I experiment with? Thanks Again!
  • I like this. And that is a good question that I'd like to hear suggestions to.
  • For any path start regionization generator the Max Stroke count determines the complexity of the regionization (# of regions generated). Fewer Max Strokes mean less regions, more Max Strokes means more regions. The Block Option determines how the blocks are arranged.

Switching to other path start regionization generators (like watershed) will lead to different arrangements of blocks.

If you ever get thin blank space at the edges of the blocks due to incomplete canvas coverage, you can use the Geodesic Interpolation ip op to fill in the blank spaces. Set the canvas to white before you run the regionization painting if you are going to do this, since any of the interpolator ip ops fill in a solid color by extrapolating the other non-solid color elements of the canvas to fill the solid color areas.

The path start regionization generators with DM in their title will adaptively split the initial generated blocks in 2 so that the 2 pieces better reproduce features in the source image.
