I've tried those settings too, and got the same results as Sam: SA paints with small circles using Image source colours. Totally guessing here but, could it be we've started from a different factory preset such that - despite your kind help - although its not a factory preset some settings have remained from whatever we previously had. For e.g., I started from Pt Synth General Acrylic Blend and then edited as per your screen shots ? As I say, totally guessing on my part :))
Somethings amiss - Ive attached two images using same source image but two different style images, all taken from those shipping with ver 5.5.3. In terms of process I followed: loaded source image, did a full erase (couldn't remember if I had anything prior that might affect), loaded style image, ran your script (srce. Girlwithglasses, style colourfuleyes). Then full erase, same source, loaded "Balloons" as style, erased to style image, ran script.

Repeat 5 : now style picture has color of source picture
repeat 10, another color source

Ok, so this is weird - bug maybe?
Same source image (GirlReaching), ran SoftRough in Detail factory preset; erased to style image (Ballons), ran script - very different outcome...
