I did edit out the background first. I'm sure there probably is some magic in SA to do that for you, but I took the easy way out ;-)
Also, the different sized pieces of the mosaic are actually just multiple images I layered and edited in PS. Again, SA can probably do this, as Mr. Tsevis has shown in his work. I am still trying to crack the process of doing multi-sized mosaic pieces with varied distances between the pieces as demonstrated in Tsevis's work, in one action in SA.
