Second attempt at SA4.Resolved the issue of repeatedly hitting the Activate button by recording a PASeq that combines many individual actions starting with large brushes and ending with the the smallest ones. Can now go brew a pot of tea and return to find a nearly finished image.Not sure how to save the PASeq, however. May have to read the manual -- although experimenting with SA4 is so much more fun!

File : Export : Export Paint Action Sequence Preset menu command will export a PASeq preset.
You can also control click on a mac (right click on windows) the PASeq palette background and a contextural menu will come up, which includes import and export menus.
