    There's more to temporal processing than just extracting or de-stracting motion effects in conventional motion video. Slit scan effects are a big category of interesting things to check out. Stack filtering is another fascinating technique that has nothing to do with motion per say. You work with a movie file derived from disparate images (although organizing them topically is really useful for building the best artistic effect from the outcome of the stack filtering process).

    You might find the technique of interest for working with the kinds of source imagery you've been using for your 'no badge' series. I think you'd get some great results from stack filtering that kind of imagery.
