Dry Paint---

Craig

I followed your link to Erik Tiemens work. Very dramatic stuff. I believe that I have a few presets that might help in achieving some of the textural detail he creates. I created them as "dry paints" specifically to paint over existing paint as detail/textural elements.

I modded a couple to make them more "handdraw" friendly for you. As in the original they are pretty random.

anyway they are attached below for you and anyone else who wants to give them a go.

here are a couple of quick Images using the presets in automode from my laptop.note that each of these had an "under image" to start. In the case of the forest it was a vector simplification of the source. In the case of the seascape it was the completed image from one of my earlier posts. The presets can of course be used without an under image. But they really shine in adding that bit of organic feel to a too clean work

  • These images are gorgeous.  Please tell me where to import to.  Thanks

    • the folder when unzipped contains Paint Presets.

place the whole folder in your paint presets folder and they will be grouped together. Otherwise you may decide to place them in categories based on their performance.

    • Thanks, I kind of figured that that's where they'd go, but wanted to be sure.
