Wet watercolor like auto Paint Synth Presets

While experimenting with very low tech approaches toward creating effects that might simulate the challenge art here: Challenge

I created quite a few "dead end" Paint Synth Presets that - while not meeting the needs of the challenge - have some value as fun and potentially effective tools for some other art creation. Attached zip.

These were all variations created while looking for a auto (action button) option to make a color trace or fill mass.

I was mostly interested in an effect that would create swatches of color as points of tonal emphasis or isolated points of interest… Like the color swatches in the caricature sample.

None of these are selective enough or natural looking enough to make me happy - for what I was making them for… However. The wet effects - at the touch of the Action button are gratifying in a different way.

Some come close to the very sparse line look of a sumi-ink like painting.

Some - the "wetwaterblot"s for instance are interesting in various ways. Some create a look that is like a  broad underpainting.

Many of these were set to ignore large elements in a source image - like darks. These limits can be changed in either the Path Shape/ Path Len Mod (reset to None to get a better sampling of all the image) or Brush Modulation (Size Modulation or Size2) change these away from Lum or Hue options)

These may be dead ends for selecting little color patches from a source image… But the wet in wet effects for many of these is very satisfying.
