Never mind, I found the appropriate video, yea! Thanks! Usually when I ask something, I quickly find the answer on my own. The asking must cause my brain to kick into gear, lol!

Hi, John,
All I want to do is paint an original image. I know absolutely nothing, how to get a brush, or how to get a blank canvas. Is the only thing available a black canvas? When I used to paint in watercolor, I always started with a white watercolor paper, then put a light tan wash on it. Once dry, I began my painting. I'm just trying to figure out how to do something similar in Studio Artist. I've been looking through the videos, and haven't come across one on this process (yet).

Hi Betty. If you post your question about 'original piece on a black backing' as a forum discussion, we can try to help. I'm not quite sure what you mean, so you might want to describe what you specifically want to do a little better. If you just men paint manually on a black canvas, that's pretty easy. Just erase the canvas to black and paint manually.
Hi Betty. The texture preset post Sean mentioned to you was posted by Candice in the preset sharing group. it's a little hard to find, since it's posted as a comment in the comment wall. so go to here and look for a post by Candice Pacheco from feb 20, 2012. It's on the 3rd page of commen s in the comment wall if the link places you at the beginning of the comment wall posts.
