  • Ok, so what's the simple generative art strategy i'm using to create something like this.

What are the components of my desired art strategy?

I'm randomly selecting source images from a curated folder of images.

I'm generating symmetry by modifying the source image so it has symmetry.

I'm then breaking symmetry in how i process the modified source image.

I'm using auto-generated selection masks to mask my modified source image processing.

I would like my modified source image processing to be randomized vectorizer output.

How do i design an implementation of my desired art strategy?

I'm using SA V5.5 gallery show features to implement my desired art strategy.

The GS main Technique is randomizing the vectorizer (and forcing vector output).

I've got the GS Source setup to randomly select a source image from my selected folder, and then run a random symmetry arp operation on the randomly chosen source image.

I turned on SurpriseMe auto selection masking, and i'm randomly choosing either the source or the current canvas as the source for the auto-generated selection mask.

How do i run my desired art strategy?

I press the GS Edit button in the SAV 5.5 Gallery Show ToolBar, and then edit the GS preference settings to match my desired art strategy implementation.

I then press the GS Run button in the SAV 5.5 Gallery Show ToolBar.  GS cycles now start running, one after the other, updating the canvas accordingly.

When i see something i like, i press the GS Grab button before it vanishes.

  • Here's another example of a grabbed output image from the same GS session.

Here's another example of output from this GS cycle.

So note the visual similarity of the GS output created by my designed generative art strategy.

If i change the gallery show preference settings to build a different generative art strategy, now note that the visual appearance of the representative GS output is totally different.

Here's another GS output example from my second GS based generative art strategy. Again, it's representative of the visual aesthetics created by my chosen second art strategy.

I'm using the same folder of source images for both art strategies.
